Friday Night Shabbat Service at West Point
The Men’s Clubs and Brotherhoods of the Hudson Valley Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (HVR FJMC) invite you to join with us as we sponsor a Shabbat service at West Point Jewish Chapel on Friday night, April 12, 2024 at 7:00pm. We will meet the cadets, greet the chaplain, Rabbi Heather Borshof, and join in the service. The service will be followed by a light dinner. A reservation is required no later than Sunday, March 31, 2024 so that security passes can be arranged.
Everyone is invited. To help defray the costs we are asking for $20 per adult ages 18 and over. There is no charge for those age 17 or younger. Please also consider making a donation to sponsor a cadet for the dinner.
Please register here no later than Sunday, March 31, 2024. Under new security procedures, those age 18 and over must have a pass to enter West Point. If you do not already have a valid pass, please have the dates of birth and drivers’ licenses (or state ID) available for all attendees when you register. Payment will be made online.
Prior to entering through the gate, we will distribute the passes from the center grass median of the parking lot of the Visitor Control Center, 2107 New South Post Rd, Highland Falls, NY (look for the elevated cannon at the entrance) from 5:45pm to 6:45pm before the service. Please bring your ID when you pick up your pass. After you go through the gate and present the pass, the Jewish Chapel is at 750 Merritt Rd, West Point, NY.
